Is anyone using T-shirt drop downs to set CPU, RAM, etc. via the Plugin?

Is anyone using T-shirt drop downs to set CPU, RAM, etc. in Blueprints/Catalog Items in ServiceNow?

If so, how are you doing it... manually configuring the Catalog Items in ServiceNow OR levering the plugin sync using some technique?

I am currently using vRA 7.5, London & vRA/SNOW Plugin V5.

Thanks in advance.

hi henswort I guess size is added in exclusion list.

Remove it from exclusion list system property, update the record and run import again to reflect changes.

Hi vaibhavdane,

Thanks for the update, this is welcome news.

What time frame do you associate with "soon"... months, weeks, days?

Thanks again for your replies.

Best regards,

henswort ITSM 5.0 is technically certified just marketing review is pending and should not take much time. Once done Application will be available on ServiceNow store for download.

This is very welcome news!

Would you expect it to be available within the next 2 weeks?

In any event, please let me know as soon as it's available.

Thanks for your responsiveness!

Hi CalsoftTechie

Any update on the new plugin version's availability?

I notice that VMware still have the old one available for download (circa Q42018).

Thanks in advance.

CalsoftTechiehi CalsoftTechie

I have found and downloaded the "VMware vRealize Automation ITSM Application V5.1.0" from the ServiceNow store, but, I cannot see any installation documentation.

Where can I find installation/configuration documentation similar to that provided by V5 of the plugin?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,

You should see option for documents on store itself. (I can not cross verify as I don't have access there.)

If still you see issues, please use VMTN thread where I have uploaded V5.1 document. VMware vRealize Automation ITSM Application V5.1.0 (ServiceNow Certified)

Hi CalsoftTechie

Thanks for providing the installation documentation (it contains some aged information), but, I have used it to install the v5.1 plugin successfully.

However, I am not seeing the T-Shirt Size drop down working in the vRA User Portal catalog items.

We are using the VMware preferred method using the component profile called "size".

Can you please outline your supported T-Shirt Size drop down method along with some examples.

Thanks in advance.

Also, what is the recommend method for adding variable sets to the catalog items as they are loaded?

Thanks in advance.

Hi CalsoftTechie,

This worked really well, we now have the T-Shirt drop down list working nicely and we have hidden the cpu, memory & storage fields.

I do have 2 issues with the install documentation though:

1. It is not available from the ServiceNow Store

2. It does not reflect the new ServiceNow Store install process (still only references the Update Set process)

Thanks.

Hi Peter,

For downloading application from ServiceNow store there is standard process and ServiceNow can help you there. That is why we have added update set installation guideline when you download application from VMware solution exchange.
