hello
I want to configure the cluster.
Do I have to configure evc?
cpu
Platinum 8168 2.70Ghz
Platinum 8180 2.50Ghz
or is vmotion possible without evc?
EVC allows you to migrate virtual machines between different generations of CPUs.
EVC-enabled cluster only allows CPUs from a single vendor in the cluster. VirtualCenter and vCenter Server do not allow you to add a host from a different CPU vendor into an EVC-enabled cluster.

Is it possible to disable evc mode because it is the same 8100 cpu generation?

EVC is used only when you have different generations of CPUs..

Since they are both from the family and generation then you don’t require EVC to vMotion between them. Having said that it’s probaby still a good idea to enable so that if you add additional hosts in the future, they can easily be added to the cluster.
Kind regards.
