i7 VTT virtualization problem

Hello, i  recently upgraded from an old 2012 lenovo g780 to a new 2019 dell g3 notebook. the g3 notebook will not run any virtual machines that run XP if i have VTT enabled in the bios. When i turn off the VTT feature they work fine. Here's the problem; when i have it turned off, i cannot use my win7 x64 VM's with it off.

is there some sort of solution to leave VTT on in the bios; but make some tweaks to the problematic xp vm's config file?

I have tried vmware player 15.0.1 and also vmware workstation v 10.0.7

thanks in advance for the support on this real head scratcher Smiley Happy

ended up being avg antivirus settings.

hope this helps anyone else. it was slowing down the processing power to the vm down to about 5%

the operating system was hanging up on startup with driver "agp440.sys"
