why had to reconnect network adapter on my machine to fix network issue

Dear all

Hi

my vcenter is vCenter server 6.0 and all of my vms use vmxnet3 network adapter but sometimes my vm connection drop and had to reconnect the network adapter to solve

the problem ?

why ?

How can solve this issue ? is that related to vmware or my OS (windows server 2008/2012) ?

HI Baber,

If not experienced this issue so any help I give will just be pointers not speaking from experience.

When you say “reconnect” - are you saying that the virtual network adapter are disconnected from the VM and you need to reconnect them or that you disconnect the network adapter then connect to resume network connectivity? Does this impact all your VMs at the same time and across ESXi hosts?

Dear ThompsG

My means from reconnect is in 2 point :

1- reconnect from vm setting

2- get console from vm and reconnect network adapter in os

if i do each of above steps my connection will be back

and this issue happen on one machine,  not all

now i am not sure is this problem for OS or is for vMware
