Migrating an existing Platform Service Controller to Load Balanced Platform Service Controller Cluster

Hi

We are running an environment with vcenter with external primary service controller and because of the expansion looking to migrate that to having a VCenter HA pointing to load balanced Platform Service controller cluster. I have looked online and found a document which is related to a new environment or if you have an existing setup to do the upgrade,

https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/53661

As it is a production environment so we would like to migrate the existing environment and wouldn't like to go for a new VCenter and PSC

Could anyone please suggest if there is a way that we could repoint our existing Vcenter to load balanced Platform Service Controller cluster.

I have tried the following steps but it fails on the certificate installation

--  Created a new Platform Service controller and joined to the existing domain

--- but when replacing the certificate on the new platform service controller following the document above, it fails.

As the above document is for a new or upgraded environment, could be the reason it is not working.

I really appreciate your time and help

Kind Regards

Haroon

PSC are going away, I wouldn't bother, once you upgrade to 6.7 you can migrate back to an embedded

External Platform Services Controller, A Thing of the Past - VMware vSphere Blog

. To that end, we are announcing the deprecation of the external PSC deployment model. In a future vSphere release (not update release), there will no longer be an option to deploy the external PSC.

Thanks for the information,

Do you know  if needed how can we repoint an external PSC to the load balanced cluster of PSCs .if there is a document available for that, would be really appreciated.

At the moment we have a following setup

1- VCenter  joined to a External PSC with enhanced mode enabled to another VCenter. both using the same external PSC

and would like the following ether of the following.

--- either moving the External PSC behind a load balancer with another PSC.

--  repointing the Existing External PSC to newly build cluster of PSCs behind the Load balancer

I tried to do the following to achieve that

deployed a new PSCs and joined them to SSO domain while deploying but when I try to do the Certificates needed for the load balancer configuration. but it fails on that and wont change the machine certificate
