esxi 6.7 install stuck on: "relocating modules and starting up the kernel" + no network

Honestly, I am surprised that finding that this has been an issue 3 years - is still an ongoing issue.

Anyway, is there a straightforward fix for this = simple one line fix for everything or is this not feasible? If it is not, VMware wont be an option for us.

Thanks.

Hi,

is all servers hardware supported by ESXi 6.7? Check if all servers components firmware, including BIOS are up to date.

Thanks.

It is on baremetal - firmware up to date where possible.

Never met a company that is so unwilling to talk to a potential new cusotmer.

Just because I don't have a "number", no one would talk to me - poorest support I have ever encountered; even Microsoft beats this.

I suppose this installator behaviour is intended. It recognizes Your server as headless for some reason and You encounters this "relocating..." problem.

Read this article:

About Headless Systems

Try to follow this procedure to resolve this issue:

It's for 6.0, but the installator behaviour didn't change in 6.7
