Hi everyone,
i have horizon 7.4 infrastructure on customer site (Connection, Security, COmposer) and i have 3 pools, every pool has same name as classroom like:
WIN10-017
WIN10-214 (with GPU)
WIN10-224
in classroom 017 + 224 (blast protocol) i have WYSE 5010 with Dell Wyse Management Suite
in classroom 214 i have (pcoip protocol) i have WYSE 5030 (P25) with Teradici Management
my question is:
how to achive that every classrom see only dedicated pool, for example:
Classroom 017 will see only pool W10-017
thx !
Tomas
For the Teradici managed clients, you can define a pool to use in the profile that is applied to the clients.
I thought Wyse Management Suite had something similar if you use Imprivata OneSign.
Its currently not possible unless you do a connection server for each classroom, the only way to limit desktop pools is to tag them, and you place tags on the connection servers. We do this to limit the desktop pools that are avalable externally vs internally. If they only have 3 pools its doable I think, but once you get many more then that it would be hard to manage.
The one thing you could try is setting the endpoint configuration to log in with a generic classroom user account and fix this account to log in to the classroom pool.
Its manual process for endpoints but I have done this for Schools.
This would be a kind of kiosk mode.
sounds great, but what about licencing Connection servers?
Is possible to have 3 connection servers?
Check with your local rep, but my understanding is horizon is just based concurrent or named user counts. Look at the horizon part of this section
You can have an unlimited number of connection servers, security servers or UAG. Horizon is only licensed based on named or concurrent user.

Are they using Active Directory? You could setup security groups for each classroom, add users to the groups and only entitle the groups to the desktop pool they need access to.
yes !
i found it in teradici and wyse management suite
problem solved !
