Hi everyone,
on an HA of vSphere 5 essentials plus V 5.1 with backup of Veeam backup & replication 9.5 we have backup errors after the update of Veeam to the "update 4" version.
Veeam support said it's a bug.
How can I get a trial version to fix the problem while awaiting the bug fix?
Hello and thanks!
You'll have to contact your account team to see about that. We have no ability to generate licenses for you here.

It is explianed about similar issue and fix:
Its always better to have a valid license before you proceed.

Hi GayathriS,
I have version 5.1 not 6.5.
I tried to install the trial version 5.1 but with vSphere client I see that the trial version does not have the key.
Do you have any other ideas?
Thank you for your time
No, there's no other option other than to not upgrade Veeam 9.5 to U4, which in itself is funny that you'd want the bleeding edge of backup application but are fine with a 7-year-old version of vSphere.
Veeam support said it's a bug.
Did you ask them whether it is possible to revert to Update 3?
André
It's not a bug with Veeam but with VMware's often-buggy VDDK. You can either wait for the hotfix to become available (which has a downgraded VDDK 5.5) or revert to U3.
