public ip Route VM to DLR to ESG ? Or, vm to ESG ?

Hi,

im a newbie. Can anyone please help me to understand,

In my NSX Environment, if i want use public ip on the vm, how can i route public ip assigned to vm to the internet through DLR to ESG to Internet Router ?

or the vm should be connected to a Lswitch where uplink will be ESG Router ?

munnavai​, In any network we never expose our servers to internet by assigning the public IPs directly. You can use the NAT feature on ESG for routing traffic of public IP to the machine internal IP.
