Loss of connection of the vsphere

when entering the username and password vmware vsphere client connects but after 20 seconds it is disconnected and one of the errors sent to me is the following call "EventManager.CreateCollector" for the object "EventManager" in vCenter Server.

2. When was the installation made?
3. Your licence active?

the version of the vsphere and vcenter is 5.5

the installation was done a long time ago, what happened was that when I wanted to expand the size of a disk it was rebooted and the connection was lost.

I am assuming you are using a Windows server to host vCenter. Have you made sure that all the services are started? Have you tried rebooting the server?

It has been some time since I last worked on vSphere 5.5 but that is where I would start.
