I am running both, and you still cannot manage Edge and DLRs thru the HTML 5 interface.

AFAIK it is still not available  in HTML interfaces . Release notes of newer versions doesn't say anything about this.

Yes, NSX for vSphere 6.4.4 introduces the following new features:

• The following VMware NSX features are now available through the vSphere Client: Logical Switches, Edge Appliance Management, Edge Services (DHCP, NAT), Edge Certificates, Edge Grouping Objects.
