Well, that's a question to ask the vendor in this case. VMware doesn't have a hand in publishing or providing BIOS from server manufacturers, so I would suggest opening an inquiry with Huawei if you need that exact version for some reason.

Hi Marcel,

honestly, I cannot understand how you were able to not find the right downloads:

Hi Chip,

okay, the question is not very smart, but I do not understand your answer either ... How is this helpful?

Just curious

They are indeed looking in the wrong place. I posted the link to the "right" place instead.

In the VMware HCL you will find information on what BIOS versions you should use resp. are supported:

VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search

but I guess he is also looking for the actual download, and for this you need to go to the vendor' site ...

It looked like you were asking what firmware was supported with your model server, which is why I gave you the link to the HCL. After re-reading your question a couple of times, it seemed you were searching for the actual firmware itself. Going back to your rant in which you criticize me for telling you to use Google, that's exactly what I did here, and I was able to find your firmware in the first search result.

Either of these packages has firmware v655 as referenced in the HCL page for this model.

Again, all of this I found in about 30 seconds by conducting one and only one Google search. The result that I used is the very first one in the list.

I've told you this several times in the past, because in most of your posts it's clear you aren't doing this. You write one or two short sentences (sometimes just a paste of something with no context) and want help. See examples here, here, and here as a few. All of these threads can be answered with probably one search on either Google or here on VMTN. And, when you get responses, you're either opening multiple threads or not responding at all. My recommendation is you thoroughly read the article I put together in my signature to understand how to post here on VMTN (and anywhere else, for that matter). The users here, as am I, are glad to help you with your questions and concerns, but it's not a replacement for helping yourself first, and by that I mean doing everything listed in section A.

marcelpan , I totally agree with daphnissov and would like to thank him for his elaborate answer to your question and his patience to explain why it should not have been asked here in the first place. Like him and a lot of other people here I am also trying to provide helpful answers to questions in the forums, but you really cannot expect forum members to do very basic Internet research for you.
