Hi,

Below are the instructions. Refer to the below KB for screenshot.

https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2147154

1 As soon as the OS starts, press the key e to enter the GNU GRUB Edit Menu.

2 Locate the line that begins with the word linux.

3 Append the following to the end of that line:

systemd.unit=emergency.target

4 Press F10 to continue booting.

Hi,

Please login to the VAMI page (https://collector ip:5480) using root credentials and check the network settings. make any changes if required and save them, once done restart the collector and try again.

Hi Seamusobr1,

It seems to be corruption at the file system level.

In most cases, I have found that, for some reason, /dev/log_vg/log needs to be checked.

To do that, try rebooting the Appliance in Single user mode and put the root password in and then type "fsck -y /dev/log_vg/log" and it'll do a file system check.  After that, just reboot the appliance and you'll be back up.  If you're not, check the output again for any other mounts that need to be checked and perform the same.

Thank you for the update. Since the VAMI is not accessible, as pointed by Deb we need to check the file system of the appliance. Please open Collector VM console > reboot the appliance in single user mode > login using root password >  type "fsck -y /dev/log_vg/log" > reboot the appliance and update the status.
