Hi Guys,
I have few doubts about VM migration to vcloud director.
Setup:-
I have different customer vCenter servers.
VC1--> 20 VMs
VC2---> 30 VMs
VC3---->40 VMs
Im going to setup a new vCenter server ""VC4""" along with vcloud director this week.After setting up,we need move all the customer VMs to vcloud director(vCD).
How to accomplish this task ?
1) Migrate VMs from vCenter server(VC1,VC2,VC3) to vCenter server(VC4) and import it to VCD(import option is ther in vCD vapps) ? Is this best option or any other direct option is available to vCD directly ?
Please check and suggest.
Thank you guys,
Manivel R
Hi Manivel,
I recently wrote a blog post on the options available for adopting a VM into vCD that's posted here - https://www.paluszek.com/wp/2018/10/23/migrate-vms-and-networking-to-vcloud-director-video-walkthrou...
The easiest part will be the importing task. You will need to figure out how to utilize NSX/networking functionality and how to cut that over.
Cheers,

Thanks so much Daniel.
You could also take a look at vCloud Extender, and vCloud Availability (Not supported on vCD 9.5 yet).
Depending on backup solution, you may need to reconfigure backups and run full backup of all VMs again.
Thanks so much everyone for reply.
