NSX on VLAN "0"

Hello,

is it possible to run VXLAN over a physical network which is not tagged with a VLAN ID? like using unmanaged switches?

Yes, you can just set the VLAN to "0" when configuring VXLAN during host preparation, which will result in VXLAN traffic being un-tagged.

Yes, but you need to verify your unmanaged switch supports 1600+ MTU or jumbo frames.

It's unlikely your unmanaged switch will run anything higher than 1500 MTU, so you'll need to verify.

Most probably it won't support 1500+

I'm not intending to do so, I just wondered. Thanks,
