Writable and snapvol.cfg

Hello,

I've been trying to get our non persistant pool (instant clones) with writable volume to work. We want to save the outlook ost file and the search index to the writable so we get the indexed search to work. This is accomplished with vmware UEM. We want nothing else stored on the writable. So I changed the snapvol.cfg so that the section containing File system is blank (cleared virtualize=\). I added four registry sections tied to windows search. With only the writable appstack attached to user session everything is working as expected. Outlook search is working and the index and ost file is persisted on the writable. The problem arises if we attach appstacks to the session. Somehow it seems the snapvol.cfg is overwritten (by an appstack?) so my tidy writable gets filled with files under SVROOT upon logout. Anyone got any ideas? Is this possible to accomplish at all?

App Volumes Manager: 2.14.0.184

App Volumes Agent 2.14.2.9

UEM Agent: 9.5.0.832

I'm seeing the exact same thing.  Did you ever happen to get this working?

Thanks.
