snapshots from VRO in VRA

HI, I've created an action in vra that runs in VRO and takes a snapshot of vm and expires it based on the user input for the "number of days". end user can not see these snapshots in the vra->machines ->snapshots.

so any restore/revert  should be done using vcenter.

how can I add snapshots to vcac vmentity ?

To my knowledge, you won't be able to if you're using a custom action for that. They're only mapped if you use the default action.

Thanks for the reply. if thats the case , can we hide the snapshots tab  underneath the deployments tab   ?

I can write another xaas action for reverting to snap  but having an empty tab  is confusing

There's no supported way to remove those tabs.

ok, so I noticed that the snapshots created from VRO will eventually showup under the machine resource actually after data collection . so, I incorporated force data collection in the vro workflow and now its all working.  just curious if forcing frequent data collection is a bad idea ?  any side effects ??  if multiple users run it  at same time ?

Ok, I didn't know that. I don't know if I'd force it after every operation just because of the time it takes while it hammers vCenter, and also if you'd run into any concurrency issues if multiple users snapshot at once.

ok, I will change the data collection frequency in VRA and remove that from the work flow..
