Sebastian, I've seen this issue on the provider side if you remove the replication engine and attempt to re-add it - some certificate issue that does not cleanly update. Please open a GSS SR and let our team resolve this for you.

Did you manage to get this issue solved?

We're having a similar problem at the moment during our deployment of vCD Extender in our lab.

Everything goes fine until the Replicator is registering to the management server, it just fails during the activation process and while retrying it says it is already registered to the manager. I can tell parts of the process went through fine, since the new root password was set.

The error code I get is this one:

Error Code 500 Failed to register H4Replicator, Cause [Unable to reach manager service]

If I retry to activate it, I get this error message:

Error Code 400 Error Configuring replicator, Cause [H4 Replicator already configured.]

Adding more replicators produces the same error, and this is how me Replicators screen look afterwards:

I'll try to open up a GSS request as well, but thought I'd see if anyone here had any similar problems..

Hi Andrea

GSS not resolve my problem..they are working too slow...

After first call if i good remember they suggest remove everything and configure again.

A had few issue during that same time then i decided for this. After start from scratch (on service provider side) for now is working fine... (in our lab)

This problem looks looks like is happening when you are trying...removing and adding again.. replicator..if i good remember...

Thanks for replying!

Yeah, this is what I'm going to try while waiting for GSS - just to remove vcd extender and all components, and then trying again.

My problem solved itself by letting everything run over christmas and new years, and then it just magically worked when returing to the office.

I suspect some weird date formatting issues perhaps..

Now I need to reconfigure everything due to not being able to set the Replication Manager Proxy IP after installing it (replicators can be changed), since I encountered the same issue as you did when trying to remove the replicator..
