I have a cluster of Dell FX-2 servers with a shared vSAN and I'm running vSphere 6. Everything is running fine but I have an alert indicating that 2 of the hosts had an issue retrieving the "Virtual SAN Health" and that the host is not connected. However, everything checks out on the host and I can see the status of all the hardware. There are no issues in the Dell interface either. Any ideas on what causes this and how to reset it? I think I have cleared it in the past by rebooting the node, but this is disruptive when there appears to be no issue.
Hello Daniel,
Welcome to Communities.
Try restarting vsanmgmtd:
# /etc/init.d/vsanmgmtd stop
# /etc/init.d/vsanmgmtd start
Potentially the logging from host side (/var/log/vsanmgmt.log) and/or vC side (/var/log/vmware/vsan-health/vmware-vsan-health-service.log) can provide more information as to cause.
