Hi,
We have vSphere Replication appliance 6.1.1 and the target site is source vCenter, recently we installed new self signed certificate as it was expired.
Now replication status showing (Enabled OK) but disconnected from vCenter6.0.
Also, lost Appliance root console access.
Could you please suggest how can we recover the appliance access and can connect it back to vCenter again?
When you say " lost Appliance root console access " what exactly you meant ?
Is that Root account is not working ?
Or Vsphere replication appliance it self is not working and console is inaccessible , if this is correct then please let us know what happens when you try to open console of vsphere replication or try to access Vsphere replication .
Moreover first , get the certificate issue fixed with vcenter .

Hi Gayathri,
We are using single site replication and target site is same source vCenter but in different datastore.
I mean web console access with root account was not working after we installed self signed certificate as it was expired & restarted the services.
Even after installing the self signed certificate Appliance was still showing disconnected which i think caused ongoing replication task for VM`s to stuck.
Then again when we save and restarted the services it again connected back to vCenter and replication for VM`s resumed again.
Moreover, I have another vSphere Replication appliance 5.8.1 connected to vCenter for which certificate has been already expired but it is still connected to vCenter and working fine.
My question is that why in this case no impact to ongoing replication?
Thats very hard to tell .
But when the certificates are expired it is expected that communication would break and we have to re initiate it .
Please mark this as correct if this answers and helps you .
regards
Gayathri
What do you see when you attempt to login to web console via root access? Is it failing right here?
