I run my home lab as a non-nested single-host configuration. This makes NSX upgrades "interesting." I found that the solution is to upgrade NSX Manager, then ask it to upgrade VIBs, shut down everything, put the host into maintenance mode in the Host Client, remove the esx-nsxv VIB via esxcli, and start everything back up.
The VIBs upgrade, but I'm presented with an error that's blank.
