VMWare tools not working on Win8 and Server 2012 r2 Standard

Good Evening folks.

I made a clean Win10 Educational installation. Then I installed a new Workstation 15. Windows Servers 12/16 Datacenters (edu) isntalled properly with VMware tools. But Win8 and Server 2012 r2 Standard never accepted the VMware tools. Even after the updates for those systems. This was not the case with Workstion 14. Is this a pure accident or inentional move? Thank you.

Hi Parveen, I just relised that vmware tools couldn't isntall automatically. After running D:\setup.exe, the tool was installed sucessfully. Thank you.
