"New USB Device Detected" popup in VMWare Workstation 15

I just upgraded to VMWare Workstation 15.0.0 build-10134415 from version 10 and every time I plug in a new USB device this pop-up comes up that blocks Windows Explorer on the host computer to even see that device until I interact with this popup. Selecting anything in it doesn't make any difference the next time a new device is plugged in. It still pops up. Moreover, any old device is no longer auto--plays in Windows Explorer:

"Choose where you would like to connect .... drive"

Is there a way to remove this pop-up and always have USB devices to be redirected to the host computer?

Have you tried checking the "Remember my choice and do not ask again" to make Workstation 15.x stop asking? You do want to choose "Connect to host" if you want it to behave like previous versions of Workstation.

He already said that it doesnt work.

Regardless this "Feature" is utterly unacceptable. The "popup" appears on whatever desktop vmware is running, and causes totally unexplained failure of the entire machine UI. Its rude of the application. VMWare is an application running on my computer, it is not... in charge of where I route every USB device I plug in.

This is a bug, is mal thought out, and needs to be removed, or made circuventable very very easily with a global option.

Can someone please answer the question?

As far as I can see, there are no options at all for VMWare player, not from the UI anyway.

this is absurd.

Why do companies just think "their use cases" are the only usecases of a user? Its ... just crazy to interrupt an operating system because you think it will be useful to your users that think the way you do.

Great software. Please get rid of this nonsense.

My computer does this every time I restart from hibernation because of the internal usb devices... like... no. stop it.
