Join a physical laptop to a domain hosted in VM Workstation

Hi,

I have created a lab for some testing in VM Workstation. I have created a domain using Windows Server 2012R2 and connected my servers to in without a problem. I have given the domain the address range of 192.168.99.x

I have another 2 laptops which are connected to the VM workstation host using a hub.

I want to join these2 laptops to the domain hosted in VM ware but I get the errors that it can't find the DC for my domain even after changing the IP address of the laptop to match the domain IP range

What am I missing? I am new to the Virtual word

What type of network configuration do you use for the virtual machines (Bridged, NAT, ...)?

Such a configuration may work with "Bridged" networking, where the VM's have IP addresses in the physical (host's) network range.

Could you able ping after changing Netwok Setting (IP) or hostname  ?
