Hi everyone, I'm struggling trying to add the vrops to usage meter. As you can see in the image below
as suggested by the message, I just need to click the edit button in order to type user/password...but actually I only can see the "rebuild" button. Any suggestion?
Thank you!
Hi,
In Usagemeter to meter vRealize Operations Manager, you must add vCenter Server which is managed by the vRealize Operations Manager.
vRealize Operations Manager will be auto discovered, once the respective vCenter Server is added into the Usagemeter .
After vRealize Operations Manager got discovered in the Usagemeter, Please accept the certificate and type in username/password using "Edit" button.
Hope, this helps you.
Thanks,
Vinayaga.
Hi Luca82 -
Looks like the MOB vROps extension is not fully registered to vCenter. Follow this post on ensuring it's there: https://www.paluszek.com/wp/2017/11/21/updating-vrops-instance-vcloud-usage-meter/

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for providing the post. I have the same issue after activating the vCenter Server 6.5.
What does it mean if I don't see the extensionList[“com.vmware.vcops”] extension in the list, is it not registered?
Cheers!
Hi Daniel,
Please ignore my last message as Step 3 puts us back in business.
Thank you!
Hi,
I too am having issues adding VROPS in the usage meter and I've followed the steps and confirmed that the extension is not registered to vCenter. However I'm unable to follow step 3 as there is no 'Manage Registrations' button in the VROPS manager, only 'Define Monitoring Goals' and 'Save Settings'. Any ideas as to how to rectify this?
Craig
Craig, what version of vROps?
Hello Craig,
If this is vRealize Operations Manager 6.6.0 the only solution is to patch it 6.6.1 or upgrade to 6.7. The "Manage Registrations" selection was removed from that version.
