I'm migrating a 5.5 SSO and vCenter on Windows to 6.5 VCSA. During the SSO migration during the second half where it's copying data from source PSC to target PSC it hangs at 75% It says applying ActiveDirectoy configuration.... It doesn't error out and never progresses. Anyone know how I can get past this problem?
We'd need to see the migrator logs to see where it's hanging.
I can get that from my home lab later today. The PSC deploys fine though. It's connected to the domain, it has it's identity source, it boots without issue.
I have the same issue at the moment.
I could access the vCenter through HTML and everything is fine, its just the installer stuck and unsure what to do next ???
Have u managed to resolve this issue ???
Pull the log and attach it.
Hi guys,
I encountered the exact same issue during a migration from vSphere 5.5 to VCSA 6.5 with the migration tool stuck at Applying ActiveDirectory configuration however when I logged into the new VCSA using my web browser URL https://VCSA:5480 using the root credentials, it shows that the migration has progressed further and was actually doing step 3.
Could be an issue where its not updating the screen on the migration tool however the migration may still be going through. Can you please try this and see if it works?
Hi Frnds,
Issue got resolved after deleting old VCSA computer account object from domain controller.
its clash with old existing computer account with new security identifier with same appliance name but different platform.
