Multiple X Screens

Hello,

I am currently configuring a few VMs that have nVidia GPUs and we are using Horizon to display the video.

So far I've been successful in having multiple monitors work using a extended desktop.

Does anyone know if it's possible to configure the desktop to use multiple X Screens?

From what I've been experiencing is the View client will always span the first X screen across both monitors hiding the second X screen behind it.

I was able to get clarification from VMWare finally.

They do not support multiple X Screens for anyone that is wondering.

What version of the Horizon Connection Server/Agent are you using along with the Horizon Client and display protocol? On old View Clients we used to see it treat multiple screens as one.

Hey BenFB,

Connection and Agent are running 7.5.1.

The Horizon Client is running 4.9.0 and we are using the Blast protocol.

Not the latest and greatest but by no means is it old.

Can you review the pool settings and confirm the correct number of monitors and resolution are configured?

When using the nvidia GPU it greys out all of the pool settings so you can change them.

The way I configured it was via nvidia-settings and the display settings in Horizon Client.

It seems like the Horizon client settings take priority over nvidia since it seems like it doesn't matter what I set in nvidia if I change the resolution in Horizon client it will take affect.
