GSAN status returns to degraded

Hi, Everyone.

Hope you could help me with this issue. Here are the scenario that I have

Scenario: This is newly built vdp server, it doesn't have so much in it. Right now when I go to vsphere data protection->configuration, the status is stuck on Admin. I have tried performing dpnctl stop gsan & start gsan. It automatically switch back to degraded after few seconds. I have manually perform integrity check but the same issue arise.  I have posted below the disk usage on our VDP for reference.

Filesystem      Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on

/dev/sda2        32G  6.0G   24G  20% /

udev            1.9G  148K  1.9G   1% /dev

tmpfs           1.9G     0  1.9G   0% /dev/shm

/dev/sda1       128M   37M   85M  31% /boot

/dev/sda7       1.5G  184M  1.2G  14% /var

/dev/sda9       138G  4.9G  126G   4% /space

/dev/sdb1       512G   52G  461G  11% /data01

/dev/sdc1       512G   51G  461G  10% /data02

/dev/sdd1       256G   51G  206G  20% /data03

If more information is needed, please let me know and I'll provide those information.

Simple. It is degraded because the expansion from 512GB to 1 TB has not completed successfully.

if you see /dev/sdd1 is still 256GB

SavkoorSuhas that fixes the gsan degraded issue, although I have one question on your procedure. Don't I need to place back the drive from dependent to Independent persistent?

Yes we need to put it back to independent persistent. Gotta update that article.
