Error configuring vCenter HA

Dear All,

We are trying to set up vCenter HA Basic Mode. But we received the below error and cannot proceed.

Cannot find a network adapter for the vCenter Server management network (NIC0) on the vCenter Server Appliance guest OS. Once available, the first guest OS network adapter will be selected. Use Edit VM settings to add a network adapter.

Any clue how we can fix this ?

Thanks

Rajesh

Pre-requisites:

Your VCSA 6.5 should have only 2 nic

Eth0 connected to management network

Eth1 connected to VCHA network

Host on which your VCSA resides should be attached to the VCSA

Can you provide the below info:

a. steps you followed to configure VCHA

b. Client version

Regards,

Shwetha

Dear Shwetha,

Thanks for the response.

As per the configuration documents, for basic setup. second NIC will be created automatically. I was following documents like below:

vCenter High Availability in vSphere 6.5: a Tutorial -- Virtualization Review

From about tab, I can see the version is "Version 6.5.0.10000 Build 5973321"

Thanks

Rajesh

Hi,

This may occur if vami-lighttp service is not started properly. Try restarting the vami service of your VCSA.

service vami-lighttp restart

Thanks,

Mohan

Hi Rajesh,

I also faced this kind of issue and restarting  "service vami-lighttp restart" solved the issue as Mohan mention in comment#3

If it is useful, plz mark answer as correct or helpful.
