Is open-vm-tools hitting 2116120?

Hi experts,

I have a question regarding a problem - Snapshot quiescing fails on Linux virtual machines.

Is "open-vm-tools" impacted by this problem? Or, this problem impacts only "VM tools?

The problem "Snapshot quiescing fails on Linux virtual machines (2116120)" shows that ESXi fails quiescing because "call by VMware Tools to freeze the Linux filesystem".

If the problem can happen using "open-vm-tools" instead of "VMware Tools"?

My guess, the issue can happen with "open-vm-tools". But I'm not completely sure. Can anyone answer my question?

This solution may also work in your case.

What version do you have of VMware ?, because the problem does not occur from 6.5 onwards (up to 6.0)
