Hello,
I'm at the tail end of completing an upgrade from SRM/SRA 5.5.1 to 8.1 but am getting an error when installing SRM 8.1 The error message is:
"Error 25133: VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager service failed to start. Check that all required Windows services are running. View the server log for more information."
I've checked all the dependent services and they are running. There doesn't seem to be any information on this error message. The SRM log is attached. Nothing in there stands out to me (or Google for that matter). Not sure what other logs I can check. Thanks!
I don't think upgrading from 5.5 --> 8.1 is supported. Here VMware Product Interoperability Matrices is the upgrade path for reference.
Cheers,
Supreet
I upgraded from 5.5.1 to 6.0 to 6.1.2 and then trying to upgrade to 8.1
If that's the case and going by the backtrace in the logs, this might end up in a reinstall (or fresh install) of SRM 8.1with a fresh DB
Cheers,
Supreet
Hi,
you can try a workaround for a similar issue:
- VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager Service failed to start
Hope this helps,
Daniel G.
I have same issues when installation SRM 8.1. after trial and error, im tried during the installation process I prefer to use a domain login rather than local to start up service srm. Then success
Hope it help
