Hey all,
I'm running into an issue where I am deploying a new UDLR and during the deployment it should be connected to a logical switch that was created already, which allows communication to the two upstream ESGs. The issue I'm running into is during the UDLR deployment, when I select which network to connect the edge to...the logical switch doesn't show. I've done this before without issue so any thoughts what I've missed this time? TIA!
Was the logical switch you're trying to connect to created as a universal logical switch? UDLR can't connect to local (Global) logical switches that aren't in the universal transport zone.
The logical switch is connected to the universal transport zone and I'm pretty sure it was created as universal, but is there a way to confirm? The transport zone is configured as universal. The ESGs can ping each other across the logical switch connected interface which to me doesn't make a ton of sense.
They'd have to be universal to be attached to the universal transport zone, but you can also tell because the logical switch ID will start with "universalwire" instead of "virtualwire".
Ah ok, I think I may just tear down and re-prepare the hosts. I suspect something funky is going on with some renaming of vds' and things that were done prior to installing NSX. I've seen this issue before in vSM, so maybe its something similar.
