Adding local user to vCenter 6.5

Looking to add a few local user accounts.  Is it the same procedure (as 5.5) where it has to be done from the command line first and then permissions are chosen from the GUI at certain level?

Thanks,

The CLI part have changed.

localaccounts.user.add --role operator --username nagios --password --fullname Monitoring

After that you can assign the user with permission of your choice to vCenter by select "localOS" as directory source.

Thanks so much.

I was able to use the GUI.

Administration --> Single Sign-On (Users and Group)

     -create user only

Then created a folder and assigned the permission at the folder level (select the user created earlier and assign roles)

put any desirable VMs in the folder
