¿Se puede Configurar VMware en un VRTX con servidores Blade M640 de DELL?

Hola que tal buenas días, tardes o noches estoy empezando a virtualizar en VMwrae y tengo duda si no habría problemas a futuro si se realiza la visualización en una infraestructura convergente como el VRTX.

For a relatively smaller environment, it should be good. Again, issues are not predictable. If they were predictable, they would not have been issues Personally, have seen multiple VRTX environments working well.

We ship more than a dozen Dell VRTX to different customers for small vSphere environments in branch offices. All later models use the 10G internal vSwitch for faster vMotion an the usability to protect some VMs with FT as well. To the outer SFP+ ports we connect the edge switches and for the M640p we use the BCM 57xxx CNA together with the nPAR feature.

In the first years there was one FW upgrade for the planar board which means a downtime for all. In all the years we never have a real problem.

Minor issues

- SD card for vFlash died or become loose

- CPU Voltage problem (Dell swaped the systemboard of a M640)

- Yeah the first system only come with a single Perc8 Shared. All laters with a redundant Perc and Write Caching was supportet.

If you ever work with a blade center before the VRTX is very easy to setup and maintain.

Si podrias virtualizar VMware con Dell VRTX. De todas formas, siempre es bueno revisar si son compatibles los sistemas/productos que quieres usar. Puedes usar el link de abajo para mayor referencia.
