Same issue here.
Host 10.13.14, Guest Windows 7, MBP Touchbar 15", VMWare Fusion 10.1.1
USB drive disconnects (with MacOS warning message) on every quit of Fusion (not shutdown of guest), did not check about BT. USB drive reconnects after Fusion has terminated (via MacOS discovery), so it is not like disk was ejected programmatically.
Less frequently, the disconnect happens on program start already, or not at all.
Some additional issues: iMac 5K 27" ultimo 2014, High Sierra 10.13.5, Problem with disconnecting Mouse and Touchpad on host started with update to Fusion 10.1.2 done today, before that (Fusion 10.1.1) no problems at all. And since then: No input connection (mouse BT, touchpad BT, keyboard Cable) to VM Mac OS X 10.10 after latest Security Update in VM. There and even in Snapshots from before that Login screen gets redrawn very slowly line by line.
Has this issue been resolved? I am running Fusion 8.5.10 on OSX 10.13.5 on a 2012 MacBook Pro. Sometimes when I exit Fusion my BT keyboard and mouse disconnect. Most of the time I am able to get them to reconnect, others not. When I am unable to get them to reconnect, I see BT unavailable. When BT is unavailable, I reboot to fix the problem. I see most people are reporting this on Fusion 10, so upgrading is not the solution.
I'm also experiencing this issue to some extent. Specifically, the mouse and keyboard disconnect every time I exit Fusion. System info below.
macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
Mid 2015 iMac
VMWare Fusion Pro 10.1.2 (8502123)
Same issue. I'm running Fusion 10.1.2 on a Mac Mini (late 2014), OS X El Cap 10.11.6, 3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel Iris 1536 MB. Quite reliably, when either powering down a VM or sometimes simply when exiting VMWare Fusion after all VMs have powered down, I get the "Disk was not ejected properly" warning from OS X regarding my USB backup drive. The backup drive was never connected to any of the VMs.
