However it says to mount Vsphere installation media.
The vsphere client is an exe I have and not iso and just installs vsphere.
Any pointers where do I get "vsphere installation media"?
Update. Manager installer is part of vcenter iso.. You have to have same version of update manager as your vcenter as best practice.. Use the same iso which you have for vcenter.. If its an appliance, download vcenter windows iso which has update. Manager installer
Thanks,
MS

I have the linux appliance Vcenter. Does it not support Update manager?
thanks
I guess i answered my question. It has it's own update manager that is not shown on vcenter client.
Will see if it actually works though.
I get the following error on attempt to check for updates

Appliance Version:
5.5.0.30500 Build 4180648
Any ideas what is wrong?
Actually that is just to update vcenter. It has nothing to do with esxi. I suppose the linux appliance doesn't have that functionality.
