VMWare Horizon Numlock Key - Windows 10

When I log into Windows 10 on VMWare Horizon 7.1 the numlock key turns off.  The VM is UEFI.  I have tried setting the following registry key with no avail HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators - Value 2 & 80000002.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I set it using VMWare UEM by inserting the following key before loading the user profile:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard]

"InitialKeyboardIndicators"="2"

I tried the exact same thing (as we are having the same issue) though we are using Horizon View 7.2.

Unfortenately it did not work. The moment i log into the session and Windows is welcoming me the indicator is gone into the void.. Whatever I try it does not want to come back into the greenness,.,

Any tips or trics are greatly appreciated...

Had this issue last year when moving from Citrix to Horizon.

We have a workaround that works fine and forces numlock on at login, however if the user has a small form factor keyboard and numlock uses the letter keys it will confuse them.

We have a scheduled task that runs at each user login and runs the following vbs script.  I don't like it beccuase it uses Word - but it works for the purpose we need it for.  I am however now looking for a better solution.

on error resume next

Set objWord = CreateObject("Word.Application")

if not objWord.NumLock ="True" then

set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

WshShell.SendKeys "{NUMLOCK}"

end if

objWord.Quit

For us it eventually was a totally different issue.

In our golden image we had the Evoluent Mouse driver and application installed so users could set different actions on specific mouse buttons. The moment we uninstalled the drivers the numlock started working as intended.. Just so you know.
