ESXi Hypervisor 6.7.0 installation freezes

Greetings,

I met some problem during my installation for the VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.7.0-8169922.x86_64. It was frozen after dvfilter-generic-fastpath loaded succesfully.

I checked a similar post in this forum and someone asked to press Alt+F12 to switch to the log screen and I did that. However, it didn't say any error of the hardware,

instead, it just got frozen at the step below:

Any help is appreciated.

A laptop is not supported hardware and they usually won't even work to begin with. Recommend you get other hardware for ESXi.

In addition to what daphnissov and sk84 have rightly mentioned, you can try to install using the HPE custom image -

Try using Running Nested VMs.

Your laptop install windows or linux + vmware workstation.

After create one VM with esxi.

Let us know if you fix your problem, otherwise we can provide additional ways to move that VM.
