vRA 7.4 not showing infrastrcuture tab

Hello!

So i was installing a vrealize automation 7.4 and everything went fine during the installation. All validations came back ok. But when i logged in with my user ( that i gave Tenant and IAAS administration permissions) i couldn't see the infrastructure tab! Actually, no tab at all, just the Administration and Containers Tab. Am i missing something?? I went to the vRA Appliance and all services were registered ok, so i don't know whats could be the problem.

I tried with local users, AD users, all permissions, nothing worked Smiley Sad

Can someone give me a light please?

So, after a few re-installs i was able to figure it all the problem: licensing!

Turns out i was using a vRealize Suite Standard license, which the installation wizard accepted, but in the standard edition we don't have automation (and IaaS automation). So it would't show me any tabs.

I changed it to the right license and TADA all tabs were available.

So, that was fun. In the end i learned how to check all services in the IaaS Server, so it was not a waste haha

Regardless, thank you very much for all your help! The VMware community is awesome!

Can you paste a screenshot of the Services tab in the VAMI?

Login as cloud admin and verify that specific user has added as Iaas administrator.

All services are Registered! I don't have any failed or blank spaces.

Need you to provide some more information here. Is this the default tenant or a user-created tenant? What browser are you using to login? What is the architecture of your vRA environment? Can you share a screenshot or two of what you're seeing, please?

I checked that, i can see the IaaS Administrator checked with the permissions! I cannot see the Home and Inbox tabs either.

The installation went fine, all services are running at the IaaS Server.

I installed a small enterprise architecture following the design architecture document.  So i have:

1 vRA Appliance 7.4

1 IaaS Server ( running Microsoft Server 2016)

1 SQL Database (Enterprise 2016)

I tested itin the default tenant and in a new tenant that i created! And i tried from chrome, IE and firefox. No tabs in either of them!

I attached a print with the print. Just the administration and container tabs. No Home, Inbox or infrastructure tabs Smiley Sad

Can you show where you've granted this user those permissions in the default tenant? Also, can you just go ahead and show that screenshot of the services tab in the VAMI? I want to see if any are missing (even though they show as registered).

Yes, i can!

Attached are the permissions for the default tenant and all the services from the VAMI page.

Ok, so that looks right including the number of services. Have you maybe tried rebooting your IaaS box? If so, if you look at the event viewer -> Application stream, are you seeing errors there? Also, within the VAMI again, do you see this IaaS node listed under Cluster? And, finally, check that all these nodes are pointed at the same *internal* NTP server with their time in sync.

Ahh yes, the dreaded vRealize Suite Standard license. It's basically useless for vRA. Glad you found the cause and posted your own resolution!
