VM lost data after recovery from -flat.vmdk

I am looking for a way to bring the VM back to the current state by using delta.vmdk file I have. I was able to restore the machine by creating a new vmdk using -flat.vmdk file and start the VM up. Upon bootup of the Windows VM I noticed that it had reverted back an older state and was not current. So it is missing the 24 BG which got recorded on the Delta.vmdk(24 GB)

If there a way to bring the VM back to the current state? I have the delta file and the flat file.

Unless already done, shut down the VM immediately to avoid further changes to the flat file!

Please post the output of the ls -lisa command in the VM's folder, and attach the recreated .vmdk file, as well as the VM's configuration (.vmx) file to a reply post.
