Deploying to OVF Fails - VCSA 6.5

Hi all,

I have been trying to deploy an OVF from a 6.5 environment. It fails every time at 33% with the following error stack

TypeError: Error #1009

at MethodInfo-1506()

at flash.utils::Timer/tick()

I tried different browsers with no luck. It's strange it stops at 33%, because it appears the OVF is actually the complete file. I am able to deploy from the file and it appears everything is there.

I tested it on a 6.5 vCenter server (not appliance) and had no issues. It was with the same VM. I deployed both and compared them and they seemed to be running exactly the same (minus VM version).

I could not find any helpful information online regarding this specific error. I see issues regarding deploying from OVF on the 6.0 appliance but not 6.5. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thank you!

Follow KB :- https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/52650

Also you can add an extra parameter in web client properties file to increase the timeout . If the KB does not help let me know ; I will share the info about the parameter on webclient.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply! The way I worded my original question was a bit confusing so let me clarify:

I am having an issue creating an OVF from a VM. I am getting this error while creating the template, not uploading. Thank you for the tool, it seems like it will be helpful if I am not able to deploy but if I understand correctly it is not used for creating OVF files.
