VMware Workstation and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Workstation.

Hi

I am running Window 10.0.17134.137, VMWare Workstation Pro 14.1.2build-8497320

I do not have Hyper-V installed

I have tried bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

WIndows Defender Credential Guard is not configured

Does anyone have a solution?

Go to the Windows Defender Security Center - Device Security - Core Isolation and make sure that Memory integrity is set to "Off" (see screenshot below).

Hi.

A reboot of of the Windows OS is necessary after "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off"

If no working, try:

Thank you for answering. But as I already stated in the question the Hyper-V feature is not installed and I did reboot (more than once). I think I will refrain from creating a boot menu.

Excellent!

Memory integrity was on.

After following the instruction in How can you turn Core Isolation Memory Integrity back off again in Windows 10 build 17127 and later ... VMware works again.

I have made sure that Hyper-v is not installed, I have run the launch off command and rebooted, I have verified the Core Isolation memory integrity is off,

I STILL GET THIS ERROR - it is frankly driving me nuts

It is true that this is an old question , but here you have a new answer that will ignore the status of Core Isolation:

Open PowerShell as Administrator and run :

Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName VirtualMachinePlatform

Hi Guys I'm having the same problem, but in my case the VMware is installed in Azure Labs. I don't know if the use of Azure labs is the problem, but I'm use Win 10 Pro, VMware 16.

I also ran the command bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off and rebooted the machine.

I checked Memory integrity is set to "Off" .

The problem continue, someone know what to do ?
