This doesn't seem to be a documentation problem. I can try to find more info about the problem, but I'll need more details like what are the versions of the product you're deploying, vCenter Server and vSphere Replication, and what exactly are you doing to reproduce the problem.

Were you expecting to see a separate plugin for vSphere Replication in 8.1? If so, there is no separate plugin for vR anymore. It is integrated in the Site Recovery plugin.
