Hey guys,
We have VROPS installed with EPOPS agents running on Windows Server VMs and I would like to know if it's possible to get a list of running processes and their CPU/MEM usage %.
We basically want to be able to see which process is taking all the CPU or MEM without logging in the OS using VROPS.
I was told it's possible to target a certain process and see it's activity but not get the list of off all the running processes.
Thanks in advance!
Anyone?!
I don't think that's possible because how would you then express this as a metric? You could create a scripted way to make a monitor per process but collecting multiple objects and representing them as a single object I don't think is going to work for you.
Hey daphnissov,
According to the reference guide for vROPS 6.5
On page 104-105, it says you can get Microsoft Windows OS Metrics
What do they mean by that if it's not a list of in OS running processes and their CPU usage?
Thanks!
That's probably returning a number, not the names and stats for each one because it's listed as a single metric.
EDIT: They're just numbers of each one. These metrics are disabled by default and must first be activated in the applicable policy.
