VIO DLR discovery

Hi

we already have a VMware infrastructure where DLR + NSX Edge is already configured to carry the VXLAN network externaly .

we want to implement on the top of our current infra, the VIO (VMware Integrated Openstack) solution, the question is :

how can we declare on VIO the already existing DLR ?  is there any methodologie to do the link ?

Thanks in advance

BR Mehdi

At this time VIO doesn't support the import of existing NSX objects.

thanks robswell for your answer.

so in our case , how can we refer the pre-existing DLR in VIO ? in order to attach the created VXLAN to the DLR through VIO ?

as DLR is the equivalent of the Neutron Router in Openstack , i was thinking to create the neutron router in VIO , but how can we link this router to the exiting DLR ?

Thanks for your support

You can't refer to the pre-existing DLR in VIO, you have to build a DLR via VIO - a Neutron router can be instantiated as a DLR. You can "link" the two routers via static routes over the router uplinks if you would like. I recommend reviewing the NSX-v Network Topologies and NSX-T Network Topologies guides, they provide an excellent overview of what is and is not possible in VIO from a networking perspective.
