A problem was encountered while provisioning a VMware Certificate Authority (VMCA) signed certificate for the provider.

Hello.

I have installed vcenter 6.7 appliance, and when i enter the storage VASA details i get an error message " A problem was encountered while provisioning a VMware Certificate Authority (VMCA) signed certificate for the provider."

The storage unit is an EMC Unity300 using the last firmware.
I tried many things on 6.7 but the only thing that worked is to install Vcenter 6.5u2 appliance (using the exact same info as 6.7) and the process completed successfully.

Is there some bug regarding this in 6.7?

Regards.

What is the OS/FW on the EMC Unity300 as the minimum compatible version is 4.1

Hello msripada.

The os/fm version is 4.3.0.1522077968 (release date 26-Mar-2018).

In Vcenter 6.5u2 vasa provider works fine, but i can't add esxi 6.7 hosts to vcenter.

Can you check the vpxd.log and sps.log when you are performing the registration on what is happening exactly when trying to add the VASA provider?

Thanks,

MS
