Upgrade from VCSA 6.5 to VCSA 6.7: host **** is not resolvable

Hi!,

Has anybody seen this error message?, I'm trying to migrate configuration from vcsa.lan to vcsa67.lan, both are registered to my local DNS server. My client can correctly resolve:

vcsa.lan --> IP1

IP1 --> vcsa.lan

vcsa67.lan --> IP2

IP2 --> vcsa67.lan

Each host can resolve the other's hostname. The only special stuff I've seen is that each of them resolve 127.0.0.1 for their own hostname.

Any hints on what can be wrong?

Greetings,

the hosts should not resolve their own hostnames to the loopback address (127.0.0.1). Probably their TCP/IP stacks are not correctly configured.

Please check the hosts' DNS settings (under Networking / TCP/IP configuration) and make sure that they have "Host name" and "Domain" set correctly.

Also, check the NTP settings.

If the host does not get a correct response it will try to resolve it locally.
