Mouse cursor problems in horizon

Hi all,

we have installed horizon 7 at two sites with linked clones. Windows 7 32bit is installed.  At one site several users have a Problem with the mouse Cursor. sometimes the mouse cursor stays the loading circle, or the mouse with loading circle or any other mouse Cursor. Only a reboot of the VM helps. The users connect with a Zero Client from dell wyse Modell p20 using PCoIP. Firmware is 5.3.0, horizon is on Version 7.0.2

At the other site everything works fine. where should I start with searching for the error?

Thanks BenFB   The registry entries fixed the issue for us.

Give this a try.

For PCOIP/BLAST protocol, update the following in the View agent machine.

- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware SVGA DevTap

- Create a DWORD with name WDDMDevAPIversion and set it to 1.

- Create key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware SVGA DevTap

- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware SVGA DevTap

- Create a DWORD with name WDDMDevAPIversion and set it to 1.

This worked but I had to manually create the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware SVGA DevTap key

Hi all,

Is the issue only with PCoip or is it both Blast and PCoip? Thanks!

We are experiencing this with both PCoIP and Blast.

6. Select Have Disk and browsed to the drivers I had copied over from a desktop that had the older agent and drivers.

OK, but only with the driver files is not sufficient. The driver cannot be updated as Windows says it's already up to date.

Which files did you exactly get from the other desktop (inf, vm3xxx.sys, vm3xxx.dll) ?

At the moment, we still get the issue. VMWare hasn't been able to give a suitable solution and even an installer with 7.5 Agent and 8.15.1.60 SVGA driver (used with 7.2).

We get the issue after 7.3 Agent.

Thanks.
