Bridge two network adapters to Guest OS(WinNT 4.0)

I am using VMware® Workstation 12 Pro.

My host OS(Win7) has two network adapters and I am trying to get my guest OS(WinNT 4.0) connected to the two network adapters.

I set up two netowrk adapters to be bridged directly to the VM: one on VMnet0 and other on VMnet9.

I set my VM guest OS to VMnet 0 and 9 respectively.

However, I could only get one network adapter connected and other failed.

May I ask VMware experts help.  Thanks.

What are you trying to achieve by having two physical network adaptors bridged to two virtual network adaptors on the Windows NT4 VM?

How are the two physical network adaptors configured on the Windows 7 host?

Thanks for your reply.

Two network adapters serve as redundancy.  In case one of the network fails, the application on the guest OS will switch to the other network.

In host OS, the network adapters are configured as

"Obtain an IP address automatically"

"Obtain DNS server address automatically"

Are the two physical network adaptors on the host connected to two independent networks (e.g. one to ADSL and the other to LTE) or are they both connected to the same network?

The two network adapters are connected to two independent networks.

Do the switches each physical NIC is connected to have MAC address filtering?  Sometimes, they will only let one MAC address connect to one physical switch port - and in your case, your host and your guest VM would each be trying to connect to the same port across the same wire.

Also, just for bugfixes and security updates, are you running the latest Workstation 12.x?

The computer under test is connected to the other computer directly.  There is no switch in-between.

I believe there is no MAC filtering.

I found my VM is not the updated one, the VM is now updated from 12.5.7 to 12.5.9.  But, the problem still persists.
