vSphere 6.7 Unsupported CPUs question

Hello,

I see Release Notes

vSphere 6.7 Release Notes

These CPU restrictions apply to vSphere, or only to hosts with ESXi 6.7?

These CPU restrictions apply only to host with VCSA 6.7 VM, or to all hosts in organization?

The restrictions apply to hardware on which you want to install (or upgrade to) ESXi 6.7.

I have Intel Xeon 56xx Series processors in my lab ESXi hosts and they have upgraded without any problems; you get the 'unsupported' warning but you can F11 past it.

I wouldn't do it on production systems, but a lab environment is all about testing and spending ££££'s on new lab hardware is not happening until I am forced too.

I am sure I will find that some new features will not work and I can live with that. I will use the VMware HOL's for testing/understanding the newer features of 6.7 that dont work in my lab.
